Machine Overview

Technogen Enterprise manufactures Stainless Steel Mixing Tanks for blending liquids and compatible semi-liquid ingredients in chemical, food, pharmaceutical and allied processing facilities. The TGSST series combines a vertical stainless steel vessel with an agitator selected for the application's viscosity, batch volume and required mixing effect. The technical specification range spans 50 to 20,000 litres, allowing the user to specify a process vessel for pilot-scale, batch production or larger manufacturing needs.

As an Ahmedabad-based manufacturer, supplier and exporter of Stainless Steel Mixing Tanks, Technogen Enterprise offers product-contact construction identified as AISI 316L with alternative grades on request, while non-contact components may be produced in AISI 304. The product specificationed design includes a vertical, leg-mounted tank, a half-open lid arrangement, inlet and outlet nozzles, mirror-polished internal surfaces and a matt-finished exterior. An agitation system with variable-speed control through a sensorless frequency drive is provided according to selection.

The optimum tank arrangement depends on mixing objective as much as nominal volume. Water-like solutions, viscous chemicals, oils, syrups and wax-based materials can require different impeller profiles, shaft arrangements, power ratings and heat-transfer options. The technical description also identifies jacketed, limpeted and melting-tank variants as available solutions. Customers should supply liquid properties, operating temperature, working volume and cleaning requirements so the mixing tank can be specified as an engineered process unit rather than a generic container.

Operating Principle

A Stainless Steel Mixing Tank blends the contents of a vessel through a motor-driven agitator. The agitator creates circulation and movement in the liquid so that ingredients can be distributed throughout the working volume. The actual mixing pattern depends on the selected impeller and fluid viscosity.

Ingredient Charging

Liquids or compatible ingredients are introduced through the lid opening or the specified inlet nozzle. The operator checks that the batch volume is suitable for the tank's selected working capacity.

Starting the Agitator

The motor rotates the mixer shaft and fitted impeller. The product specificationed sensorless frequency drive allows the rotational speed to be adjusted to the process requirement.

Blend Formation

The moving impeller transfers momentum into the liquid, creating bulk circulation. The resulting combination of flow and local mixing helps distribute ingredients and achieve the required formulation consistency.

Temperature Management Where Specified

For applications requiring heating or cooling, the company offers jacketed and limpeted configurations. Such heat-transfer facilities are not implied to be present on every standard single-wall tank.

Discharge and Cleaning

After the defined blend period, the agitator is stopped and the mixed liquid is removed through the outlet. The vessel, lid, nozzles and wetted agitator components are cleaned as required for the next batch.

Process Selection Consideration

The mixing process cannot be finalised from vessel capacity alone. Agitator blade arrangement, liquid viscosity, mixing time and whether heat transfer is required determine the necessary drive and vessel design.

Frequently Asked Questions

What capacities are available in the TGSST series?
The technical specification specifies a nominal tank capacity range of 50 to 20,000 litres. Actual working volume, dimensions and agitator selection must be established for the particular order.
Which materials of construction are specified?
AISI 316L is listed for tank material, with AISI 304 used for non-contact parts and alternative grades offered according to customer requirements.
Can the mixing speed be adjusted?
Yes. The supplied specification describes variable agitator speed using a sensorless frequency drive. The specific RPM range is not provided and must be defined for the application.
Can the tank be heated or cooled?
The company offers jacketed and limpeted mixing vessels as variants. Heating or cooling is not automatically included in every TGSST configuration.
What process details should be provided for a quotation?
Share working volume, liquid viscosity, density, mixing time, temperature range, preferred product-contact grade and heating or cooling requirement.
