Automatic Tunnel Type Linear Vial Washing Machine
Automatic tunnel type linear vial washing machine with 10 internal and two external washes, three AISI 316L water tanks, filtered compressed air and production options up to 400 vials per minute.

Machine Overview
The Automatic Tunnel Type Linear Vial Washing Machine manufactured by Technogen Enterprise is designed for washing the internal and external surfaces of pharmaceutical glass vials through a controlled linear intermittent-motion process. Developed for injectable formulation and sterile-product packaging facilities, the equipment combines sequential washing zones, multiple water media and compressed-air operations in a compact production-line arrangement.
The machine incorporates 10 internal washing operations and two external washing operations. Its washing system uses recycled water, DM or purified water, and Water for Injection (WFI), followed by filtered compressed air as specified for the selected washing cycle. The actual media sequence, spray duration and process parameters can be adjusted according to the intended vial washing application.
Three AISI 316L stainless steel water tanks with centrifugal pumps are provided, one each for recycled water, DM water and WFI. Four glycerine-filled pressure gauges are described for monitoring the washing-water circuits and compressed air. Suitable filtration arrangements are identified for the recycled water, DM water, WFI and compressed air services.
The standard equipment range includes five configurations, offering nominal outputs up to 60, 120, 240, 300 and 400 vials per minute. Vial sizes from 5 ml to 30 ml are described as suitable without change parts, while 2 ml and 50–100 ml formats require additional change parts.
The machine body is manufactured using AISI 304 stainless steel. Components in contact with the washing media or the vial washing zones are specified in AISI 316 stainless steel. Separate worm gearboxes and motors are provided for the main machine and conveyor arrangements, while variable frequency drive control enables operating-speed variation.
An AISI 304 stainless steel wire-mesh infeed conveyor is included, and the outfeed can be arranged for direct connection to a sterilizing tunnel or for collection of washed vials in trays. Emergency switches are specified at the control panel and outfeed side.
Optional configurations include a PLC with touchscreen HMI, vial lifting equipment, a pre-inspection station, ultrasonic washing and an application-specific 21 CFR Part 11 functionality package.
Technogen Enterprise manufactures, supplies and exports vial washing machinery from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, supporting pharmaceutical manufacturers requiring multiple wash media, controlled vial handling and integration with vial filling and sterilization equipment.
Applications
Operating Principle
The machine uses linear intermittent vial transport through multiple water and compressed-air washing positions, with controlled spray timing and sequential processing of the vial interiors and exteriors.
Vial Infeed
Empty glass vials are fed through the stainless steel wire-mesh conveyor toward the linear washing machine.
Intermittent Vial Transportation
The machine indexes vials through the configured washing zones with coordinated pauses for spray operations.
Recycled Water Washing
The recycled-water circuit supplies the applicable internal and external washing positions using its dedicated AISI 316L tank and centrifugal pump.
DM or Purified Water Washing
The DM water circuit supplies subsequent washing stages according to the selected washing sequence.
WFI Washing
Water for Injection is delivered from the dedicated WFI tank and pump to the specified vial washing stages.
Compressed-Air Operations
Filtered compressed air is used for the designated air washing or displacement stages following the relevant water washing operations.
Process Monitoring
Four glycerine-filled pressure gauges monitor recycled water, DM water, WFI and compressed-air services. Spray timing and machine speed can be adjusted to meet the operating requirements.
Vial Discharge
Following the specified wash sequence, vials are discharged toward a sterilizing tunnel or collected in suitable trays for further handling.
