Machine Overview

The Handheld Induction Sealer manufactured by Technogen Enterprise is a portable, operator-assisted machine designed for induction sealing of suitably lined bottle and jar closures. It provides a compact alternative to continuous conveyor-based induction sealing systems for laboratories, pilot plants, small-scale manufacturing and occasional packaging operations.

The machine uses non-contact electromagnetic heating to activate compatible induction foil liners. The operator positions the handheld sealing wand over the correctly capped container and applies electromagnetic energy for the selected sealing duration. Where the foil liner and container sealing surface are compatible, the liner's heat-sensitive sealing layer can bond to the bottle mouth during the sealing and subsequent cooling process.

Unlike a fully automatic induction cap sealer, the handheld machine depends on manual positioning and cycle initiation. Its stated production capacity is approximately 10 bottles per minute, depending on operator efficiency, container configuration and sealing time.

The machine accommodates specified neck diameters from 20 mm to 100 mm, making it suitable for evaluating different container sizes with the appropriate sealing arrangement. Its adjustable sealing-time control allows operating conditions to be selected according to liner characteristics and the bottle-neck configuration.

A principal advantage is its portable design, allowing the unit to be moved between small-scale operating areas or used for offline sealing trials. It is particularly appropriate where the required packaging output is too low for an inline induction sealer or where seal settings must be evaluated before scaling to continuous production.

The equipment includes overheat and overcurrent protection, a warning light and an automatic cool-down reset feature. These systems support equipment protection during repeated sealing operations, subject to correct handling and operating instructions.

The specified electrical connection is 230 V AC, single phase, 50 Hz, with 1 kW power consumption. Its compact construction allows installation in environments with limited operating space.

Technogen Enterprise, based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, is a manufacturer, supplier and exporter of handheld induction sealing equipment for packaging businesses seeking flexible foil liner sealing with manual operation and limited production volume.

Operating Principle

The handheld sealer uses manually positioned non-contact electromagnetic induction heating to activate compatible foil liners inside correctly applied bottle closures.

Bottle and Cap Preparation

The operator ensures that the bottle has a suitable cap containing the appropriate induction sealing liner and that the container mouth is ready for sealing.

Sealing Time Setting

The required induction heating duration is selected on the machine according to the liner and container combination.

Handheld Wand Positioning

The operator positions the portable sealing wand above the cap at the appropriate operating distance and alignment.

Electromagnetic Induction

The sealing unit energizes the induction head, generating heat in the aluminium foil component of the liner without direct contact with the closure.

Heat-Seal Layer Activation

The heat activates the liner sealing layer so it can bond to the compatible bottle-neck sealing surface.

Cooling and Removal

After the selected exposure, the operator removes the sealing wand and allows the container and liner to cool before checking the seal.

Protection and Repeat Cycle

The overheat and overcurrent protection systems provide warning and automatic cool-down reset functionality as specified. The following bottle can then be processed under suitable operating conditions.
