Automatic Linear Capping Machine
Automatic inline screw capping machine with belt-type bottle gripping, three pairs of tightening discs, clutch protection, minimal bottle change parts and capacity up to 100 bottles per minute.

Machine Overview
The Automatic Linear Capping Machine manufactured by Technogen Enterprise is an inline screw-cap tightening system designed for suitable round, flat and irregularly shaped bottles and jars. Unlike rotary starwheel cappers, the machine uses linear bottle transportation and a belt-type gripping assembly to hold containers while threaded closures are tightened.
The machine is equipped with six tightening discs arranged in three opposing pairs. As a bottle travels through the capping zone, the disc arrangement progressively tightens the threaded cap. The tightening assembly includes an adjustable mechanism and built-in clutch protection to reduce the possibility of cap over-rotation.
The specified production speed is up to 100 bottles per minute, depending on the bottle diameter and closure characteristics. Its stated operating ranges include container diameters of 50–200 mm, heights of 75–400 mm, and cap diameters of 18–120 mm.
The tool-less adjustment arrangement allows the conveyor guides, bottle-gripping belts and tightening discs to be configured for different bottle and cap dimensions. This reduces reliance on dedicated starwheel change parts and is particularly useful when packaging multiple bottle formats on the same production line.
The machine can be configured for compatible plastic threaded caps, metal threaded caps, jar closures and selected pump-style closures, subject to cap presentation, geometry and torque requirements. Cap supply may be provided by a vibratory feeder or cap elevator.
The stated machine construction uses stainless steel components, variable frequency drive speed adjustment and a six-digit counter for production monitoring. A No Bottle–No Cap arrangement is described, together with a cap-feeder control function.
Options include PLC-HMI operation and a safety cabinet with door interlock using toughened glass, polycarbonate or acrylic. The system is intended for integration with compatible bottle filling, labeling and packaging equipment.
Technogen Enterprise manufactures, supplies and exports automatic linear screw capping machinery from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, serving packaging operations that require fast format changes and a wide range of compatible bottle sizes.
Applications
Operating Principle
The machine uses a linear conveying system and three pairs of tightening discs to screw caps onto bottles held between the side-gripping belts.
Bottle Infeed
Filled bottles enter the linear slat conveyor and travel toward the gripping and tightening region.
Cap Feeding and Placement
Threaded caps are supplied by the selected cap feeder. Proper cap presentation is required before tightening.
Bottle Side-GrippingA synchronized belt assembly holds the container body during the tightening process, reducing bottle rotation.
First Tightening Disc Pair
The bottle passes through the first opposing disc pair, initiating controlled screw-cap engagement.
Subsequent Disc Pairs
The remaining disc pairs progressively tighten the closure while their adjustment and clutch settings limit excessive rotation.
Capped Bottle Discharge
The bottle exits the gripping system and continues on the conveyor toward downstream packaging equipment.
Speed and Format Adjustment
The variable frequency drive controls speed, while tool-less adjustment of the belts, guides and disc positions accommodates suitable bottle and cap formats.
