Machine Overview

The Automatic External Ampoule Washing Machine manufactured by Technogen Enterprise is designed for cleaning the outside surfaces of glass ampoules through a synchronized continuous rotary washing mechanism. Its primary purpose is to remove external contamination from suitable ampoules through water washing and air drying operations, while the ampoule interiors remain outside the scope of this machine.

The machine uses a tray-based loading and unloading arrangement. Ampoules transferred from the loading tray are spaced and guided through a feed worm before entering the rotary washing wheel. This controlled feeding arrangement supports consistent ampoule movement through the dedicated cleaning and drying positions.

The standard operating sequence consists of four external processing stages. The first stage uses tap water, with the possibility of detergent washing where heavier external contamination requires it. The second stage uses tap water for further external washing. Two subsequent operations provide dry-air and hot-air treatment to assist in removing residual water from the outside surfaces of the ampoules.

The machine incorporates two stainless steel washing tanks, specified with capacities of 50 litres each, and two horizontal multistage centrifugal pumps driven by three-phase induction motors. A blower and a three-heater heating arrangement are provided for the relevant air treatment operations.

The main unit is driven through a worm gearbox coupled to a gear motor. A variable frequency drive enables machine speed adjustment according to product and operational requirements. The machine body is manufactured using AISI 304 stainless steel for durable industrial operation.

The machine is designed for 1 ml to 5 ml ampoules, with suitable change parts. Its specified nominal production output is 250 ampoules per minute, depending on the amount and nature of external contamination requiring cleaning.

Optional provisions include a PLC-HMI operator interface, detergent wash capability and the specified additional air-heating arrangement. The appropriate washing media, temperature and drying parameters should be selected for the actual ampoule application.

Technogen Enterprise manufactures, supplies and exports automatic external ampoule washing equipment from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, serving pharmaceutical manufacturers requiring dedicated ampoule exterior cleaning without introducing internal washing operations.

Operating Principle

The machine operates through continuous rotary ampoule transportation with two external water-washing stages followed by two air-treatment stages.

Ampoule Loading

Empty or otherwise process-ready ampoules are supplied through the loading tray to the machine's feeding arrangement.

Feed Worm Separation

A feed worm spaces and guides individual ampoules toward the rotating washing wheel.

First External Water Wash

The first rotary washing position applies tap water to the ampoule exterior. Where required and configured, detergent washing may be used for heavier contamination.

Second External Water Wash

A subsequent tap-water washing stage further cleans the ampoule exterior.

Dry-Air Treatment

Ampoules pass through a dry-air treatment position to assist in removing surface moisture.

Hot-Air Treatment

The final air-treatment position uses heated air to support drying of the external glass surface.

Ampoule Discharge

Processed ampoules move through the exit feeding mechanism to the unloading tray.

Speed Control

The variable frequency drive adjusts machine speed, while the mechanical transmission maintains coordinated transport through the operating stages.
