Automatic Single Head Crown Capping Machine
Automatic single-head crown corking machine with vibratory crown cap feeder, synchronized starwheel transport, photoelectric cap detection and speed up to 40 bottles per minute.

Machine Overview
The Automatic Single Head Crown Capping Machine from Technogen Enterprise is designed to apply compatible crown cork closures to bottles used in beverage and related packaging operations. Crown capping is a distinct closure-forming process in which a metal crown is mechanically crimped around the appropriate bottle-neck finish.
The machine incorporates an automatic bottle conveyor, synchronized starwheel indexing and a single crown corking head. This arrangement positions each bottle for controlled crown-cap application and transfers the sealed container toward the machine outfeed.
The specified output is approximately 30–40 bottles per minute, depending on bottle diameter and handling conditions. The machine is described for beer, carbonated beverages, sparkling mineral water and compatible fermented beverage packaging.
Closure feeding is performed through a vibratory bowl feeder, which stores and orients crown caps before directing them to the delivery chute. A photoelectric sensor monitors the presence of crown caps and stops machine operation if the necessary closure is not detected.
The crown corking head uses a chute-pickup arrangement, with a single-cam mechanism controlling cap pickup and release. The capping head subsequently applies the crown closure to the compatible bottle finish.
The machine body, doors and capping head are manufactured using AISI 304 stainless steel, while the starwheel and associated guide components use UHMW or Delrin. The bottle conveyor is specified as a stainless steel slat conveyor, and a common motor synchronizes the main machine movements.
Machine protection includes No Bottle–No Crown Cap, starwheel safety clutch, automatic vibrator on-off control and emergency-stop functionality. A variable frequency drive enables operating-speed adjustment, and an inbuilt production counter monitors output.
Optional configurations include a PLC-HMI interface, automatic capping-head height adjustment and a transparent safety cabinet manufactured from toughened glass, polycarbonate or acrylic.
Technogen Enterprise manufactures, supplies and exports automatic single-head crown capping machinery from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India for manufacturers requiring coordinated crown closure application in suitable bottling lines.
Applications
Operating Principle
The machine applies crown cork closures using automatic cap feeding, starwheel bottle indexing and a single crown corking head.
Bottle Infeed
Bottles enter the stainless steel slat conveyor and move toward the synchronized starwheel.
Crown Cap Feeding
Crown caps are stored and oriented in the vibratory feeder bowl, then delivered through the cap chute.
Cap Availability MonitoringA photoelectric sensor monitors crown cap availability. The machine stops if a required cap is absent from the delivery chute.
Bottle Positioning
The synchronized starwheel transfers each bottle to the crown capping position.
Crown Cap Pickup
The described chute-pickup and single-cam mechanism coordinates crown cap pickup and release at the bottle.
Crown Corking
The crown capping head mechanically forms the metal crown around the compatible bottle-neck finish.
Bottle Discharge
The sealed bottle advances to the outfeed conveyor, while the production counter records machine output.
Safety Monitoring
The No Bottle–No Crown Cap interlock, starwheel safety clutch and emergency-stop mechanism provide the stated protective functions.
